Claudia Jimerson is a transformative figure in women’s lacrosse and a powerful advocate for Indigenous rights through sport. A former lacrosse standout, Claudia’s athletic career includes being named a US Lacrosse High School All-American and earning Division III US Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention honors at the State University of New York at Fredonia. She captained the 2013 Haudenosaunee National Women’s World Cup Team, demonstrating her leadership and passion for the game on the global stage. 
Currently serving as Director of Women’s Lacrosse Operations and Board Member for the Haudenosaunee Nationals, Claudia has led the team to numerous international successes. Under her leadership, the team has competed in seven major competitions and made significant strides, including ongoing efforts to secure the Haudenosaunee Nationals’ inclusion in the 2028 Olympics. A firm believer in the importance of representing her people, Claudia is committed to ensuring the Haudenosaunee, as the originators of lacrosse, compete under their own flag as a sovereign nation. 

Off the field, Claudia channels her extensive experience as a Senior Human Resource Executive to foster growth, inclusion, and development within the community. She’s a driving force in advocating for Indigenous athletes, using her platform to promote cultural awareness and educate others on the sport’s deep roots in Haudenosaunee history. Claudia is dedicated to shaping a better future for Indigenous athletes through sport and leadership. 

Her unwavering commitment to empowering Haudenosaunee women through lacrosse, while advocating for their rightful place on the global stage, makes her a key voice in the movement toward reconciliation, recognition, and inclusion for Indigenous peoples.
