Data, Research, and Innovation Workstream Lead for UNESCO's Fit for Life Initiative

Sarah Lüdecke is the Data, Research, and Innovation Workstream Lead for UNESCO's Fit for Life initiative, where she spearheads the development of solutions to address global data gaps, to integrate and aggregate existing evidence, and to develop global frameworks for measuring the social impact of sport aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her work involves coordinating international research efforts, developing standardized methodologies, and overseeing the creation of key knowledge products that advance global understanding of sport's social impact. 

With over 15 years of experience in research, impact measurement, and program management, Sarah has contributed to significant projects for Nike, the UK government, the World Food Programme, UNICEF, and the European Commission, among others. Her expertise spans research, monitoring and evaluation, strategic advisory roles, and managing multi-million-dollar initiatives in sport for development, health, and governance across Southeast Asia, Africa, and Europe. Sarah holds advanced degrees in International Economics Development and Political Sciences from Sorbonne University and Sciences Po Strasbourg.
